My name is Cori McNerney and Divine Dogs is my dream. After 30 years in corporate America, it was time for me to do what I love – be with dogs.
Divine Dogs became a reality in 2010 when we opened our doors to the dogs in the community, including Newtown, Sandy Hook, Monroe, Brookfield, Bethel and beyond. But it took many years of preparation and training to be able to offer the quality services that your dog deserves.
I spent almost three years as an apprentice, working weekends and learning about grooming. In 2008 and 2009 I spent over 1,000 hours taking courses that ranged from Dog Nutrition to Dog Styling. This training included 600 hours of hands-on training. I graduated from The Nash Academy in 2009. Nash is the premier dog styling school in the US and Japan. I am a certified member of the National Dog Groomers Association. This is not my job, it is my passion.
You love your dog! Your dog is a valued member of your family. It’s important for you to know that when you leave your furry friend, he or she is being cared for with tenderness and professionalism.
You want to be confident that your dog is comfortable and safe. While you may not always choose natural or organic products – you know it’s important that we all try to incorporate these types of products into our lives. You look for products manufactured in the USA – you don’t always buy that way – but this is your preference. You demand the same level of care for your dog as you do for yourself. Maybe not all the time but for the most part. When you buy gifts for your dog, you are looking for unique products that you won’t see in every store you visit.
